Bright Light Marketing

We've been Glamping, Tweeting and getting Wild

Well where has the Summer gone as we find ourselves in September already.

If you did manage to enjoy a well earned break we hope that you had a great time and that you are feeling refreshed for the months ahead.

As we travel to other countries and destinations it’s always interesting to see how other businesses look after their customers. It’s great to learn from others and get ideas and sometimes it’s reassuring to know that we are doing a pretty good job anyway.

A little closer to home though we thought you might be interested in seeing what Bright Light Marketing have been working on during the Summer including a genuine first for tourism as well as everything you wanted to know about Social Media but were afraid to ask !

We hope that you have a very productive Autumn and lets hope we enjoy Indian Summer too.

Yours Fiona, Janice and Fiona

Introducing Roulotte Retreat - A Glamping first for the UK

We are thrilled to be working on a real first for tourism in the UK with the launch of Roulotte Retreat in the Scottish Borders.

You will have heard of the current growth in ‘Glamping’ or upmarket camping but this takes it to a totally different level here in the UK. A roulotte is the French name for a wooden Romany caravan on wheels and Roulotte Retreat commissioned artisans in France and Holland to create several of these highly individual and unique caravans for their romantic meadow retreat near Melrose.

The aim was to create the ultimate in romantic accommodation with elegance, luxury with simplicity, all mod cons with a realRoulotte Retreat, a first in the UK sense of timelessness with each individual roulotte having its own unique and exquisite interior.

This project has taken two careful years in planning and Bright Light Marketing were brought on board to help launch the concept to the market place. To date this has meant helping the company develop and implement a national Press and PR campaign, helping them to develop their online presence and promotional channels as well as implement their pricing structure and packaging.

We are also delighted to have helped the company secure a very successful partnership with Canopy and Stars, an online agency who specialise in the promotion of just this type of unique up market Glamping accommodation. As well as this we have used Social Media very effectively to help build interest and grow followers for the company and is the perfect example of just how powerful this new method of communication can be.

With interest in the national press really taking off, the future for Roulotte Retreat is very rosy indeed.

Brand New

We are proud to unveil some of the exciting new brand identities that we have been working on this Summer.

Wild Gathering – Always Adventurous with Food
Wild Gatherings new trailer fully branded
Kezie Foods from Berwickshire specialise in the delivery of exotic meats from around the world such as ostrich, kangaroo, wild boar and springbok. In 2010 they decided to launch a new events catering company and deliver this high quality and unique food concept to major events and festivals throughout the UK.

Bright Light Marketing worked with the company to develop a new brand identity and the trading name of Wild Gathering was born along with the accompanying strapline of Always Adventurous with Food.

The new brand has been launched very successfully at events this Summer and applications have included the catering trailer, food packaging, staff uniforms, to data capture leaflets. Inspired by Technology

When the company re-located to their new base in Eyemouth they decided to re - launch the company under the trading name of Inspired by Technology and develop a new brand identity.

Bright Light Marketing helped the company develop a brand which embodied their core values of being customer focused, offering a one stop shop of professional solutions with the expertise to make it work and make it happen.

Everything you wanted to know about Social Media but were afraid to ask

Bright Light Marketing has believed for some time that social media is a cost effective and targeted way for small to medium businesses to market themselves along with other communication tools. The growth in 2010 of consumers using social media has been phenomenal and is growing so fast that if Facebook was a country it would be the third largest in the world ahead of the USA. New social media tools are coming on stream all the time such as Foursquare, an exciting new social media site which is huge in Australia and the United States and we believe will take off in the UK in the next few months. Foursquare is a location-based application that works on the iphone, android and blackberry smart phones. Primarily, Foursquare promotes exploration around towns. You open the application and see what is around your current location. The more information there is about a destination the more people will want to visit not just the destination but also individual venues.

Social newtork medium FacebookIs your head sinking with the news of another social media tool when you have yet to get to grips with the existing ones? Bright Light Marketing can help. We will come to your business and discuss your requirements and set you up on your social media journey with tips on what to do, what not to do and most importantly of all make it reflective of your business and the customers you already attract so that you can attract new customers. Social Media is huge just now as you will see from our news articles you can't afford not to be part of it but it can be daunting to set up and we can help make it a painless process and a rewarding process that makes your business benefit from this powerful medium. These tools first and foremost can increase traffic to your website, increase awareness of your product to new customers and actually bring you in new business. Can you afford not to be involved? For the price of an advert in your local paper or a standard training course you could be attracting new customers via Facebook and Twitter. Prices start from just & for an hours tutorial.
