For obvious reasons the news is full of the economic, political and social implications for 2011. Particularly with the recent increase in VAT and the post analysis of the festive season with close scrutiny on the impact that the Arctic conditions had on business in December too.

Running a business is never easy and sometimes you just want to switch off the news and not listen to the latest predictions. Realistically some of the predictions will come true and some won’t and equally some will affect your business and some won’t. As a business owner though you are in the driving seat of your business and you have two options. You can either sit back and wait to see what happens or you can pro actively market your business in 2011 and communicate with your customers and potential customers. At Bright Light Marketing we believe that marketing is about communicating with your customers and having them at the heart of your business. So for our first newsletter of 2011 we have set out some marketing basics so that you can make the most of 2011 for you and your business.
